I’ve taken my share of imperfect pictures. Who hasn’t?
19 years ago, however, I took my worst picture ever:
I was in the 5th grade. Oh, how I HATED 5th grade.
And it showed.
Look at my eyes. They’re gazing at the camera as if to say, “I’m in hell here, people. Please send help.”
Not only did I have the worst teacher in 5th grade, I also had the worst hair. This is because on the eve of the first day of school, I decided I wanted a perm.
I pictured myself starting the new school year as a fabulous vixen with long, flowing, curly locks. Unfortunately, Momma thought I wanted to start the year with a tight, perky, poodle ‘do so she chopped my hair up to my ears before perming it.
As a result, I learned a very important lesson that I have taken with me into adulthood:
NEVER MAKE ANY MAJOR HAIR DECISIONS THE DAY BEFORE ANYTHING
