I just love heart-shaped food. Somehow, I find it to be tastier. 🙂
When I think of Valentine’s day, I immediately think of the heart-shaped cut-out cookies my Momma used to bake for my class parties in elementary school. On each cookie she would write each classmate’s name in frosting. (She deserved an award.)
Sometimes, it’s fun to put forth the extra effort. Other times, NOT so much. Here’s how I achieve heart-shaped cut-out cookies the easy way:
Heart-Shaped Cut-Out Cookies the EASY Way
- Soft-bake your favorite cookie for a minute or two less than usual. (I chose chocolate-chip because it’s Mr. Smith’s favorite!)
- Allow cookie to cool on the sheet for a couple minutes.
- Center and carefully press a cookie cutter into the cookie. Gently press the cookie out of the cutter.
- Nibble all the yummy leftover bits. (optional)
